About Us

Our non-profit organization has 76 active members in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Tahoe City, California, Arizona, Hawaii and Pennsylvania.  Donations of philatelic material is accepted to help in the youth and Boy Scout Merit Badge Programs.  Excess material is also donated to the Veteran’s Home in Reno.

Meetings:  The members meet on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month (except December) from 10 a.m. to about noon.  The meetings start at 10:00 am, but fellowship, gossip and stamp swapping takes place between 9:00 and 10:00.  The first meeting of the month has an auction for members to sell items using the Auction Sales Sheet.  The second meeting of the month also allows sales on a consignment basis - items are purchased at the stated price using the Auction Sales Sheets.  The second meeting also has a philatelic program/presentation, or Show-and-Tell by members.

Dreiling Award: To recognize members who display extraordinary leadership and volunteer efforts to further philately in the area.  Dreiling Award Nomination Application

2019 Dreiling Award Honoree - Stan Cronwall
2020 Dreiling Award Honoree - John Walter

For youths:  We provide the necessary basic tools and guidance in the proper storage and display of your stamps. However, we do request that a parent accompany the younger set. We can help get them on the road to a lifetime of fun and knowledge, but we aren’t a baby-sitting service.
